About Our Work

REPORT AND ONLINE RESOURCES

We are writing a “Climate Resilient Schools in Alameda County” report, uplifting existing research and programs, and providing guidance for how both curriculum and infrastructure can be more climate resilient.

We are also collecting and creating online resources, including project ideas and funding opportunities.

CASE STUDIES

We are collaborating with a UC Berkeley ethnic studies class to write a case study and pilot test resources at Street Academy; and developing a case study at Castlemont High School.

WALKING  TOUR

We will be coordinating a walking tour to showcase the many neighborhood resources in and around one of our case study schools.

What are Climate Resilient Schools?

Climate Literacy

How can students learn more effectively about the Climate Crisis and take action on solutions?

Disaster Preparedness

How can school infrastructure be better prepared for extreme heat, atmospheric rivers and other extreme weather?

Community Care

Are there ways that schools could be hubs for community care during extreme weather events?
