Summer of Resilience

The Summer of Resilience is a grassroots action campaign to strengthen and support hyper-local networks of neighborhoods, community spaces and aligned partners for disaster resilience and CLIMATE SURVIVAL.

Super El Niño. Extreme heat and other escalating climate disasters. Food systems unraveling, gas prices rising. We are entering a summer defined by a convergence of unprecedented environmental and economic pressures. Black and Brown neighborhoods are especially hit first and worst by the effects of the polycrises.

Who are the frontline first responders? WE the community members.

The Summer of Resilience is putting the spotlight on inspiring examples of communities of care in frontline neighborhoods and community spaces, to prepare for what is here and what is to come.

Get Involved

Separately, our work is vulnerable. But when we build together, share knowledge and resources, we strengthen our resilience. Together we will explore how hyper-local organizing, neighborhood-based resilience and community defense structures can help frontline communities prepare, survive and recover while building power beyond moments of crisis.
